We Turned 4! Join us Down Memory Lane...
At the end of 2019 I left my job in fashion buying to start my own business. I had a passion for sustainability and travel, whilst my mother had lifelong experience in developing swimwear. 2020 was a huge year, we designed the collection (pictured are the designs and cuttings of my favourite colours), set up the website, ran photoshoots and launched our first styles!
In 2021 we designed and developed new styles and launched the Arabella bikini. During this time Capri Swimwear also started getting out there in the world, we worked with lots of influencers, which was very exciting and also started selling in different retailers.
In 2022 we won so many awards which was truly unbelievable, it’s been amazing to be recognised for our products and sustainability. We launched our first drop of non-swimwear products, such as bags, t-shirts and hoodies. The range plan pictured is my favourite collection, with the gorgeous twisted ring... this collection just fell perfectly into place.
2023 was a year where I focused a lot on our sustainability side of the business by joining initiatives and taking more industry speaker opportunities. We hosted our first ever pop-up shop in John Lewis, which was incredible. The year ended on a high when I was named Outstanding Alumni for my work for Capri Swimwear.
2024 has been by far the best year yet, it feels that so much has been unlocked and we have been pushing Capri Swimwear more than ever before. At the start of the year I decided to re-brand, shortening the name and changing the overall aesthetic. I started modelling for the brand, this was so daunting at the time but I’m so glad that I’m able to represent it.
Capri Swimwear launched its first deadstock fabric collection and has now had two collections made on a pre-order basis. I loved sourcing and designing this collection, even making the initial samples myself. We went to exhibit at The Good Clothes Show and had an amazing weekend, it was incredible to meet so many new customers. During 2024 we have also continued to build our relationships with existing customers and we still maintain 100% 5-star reviews on Trustpilot (major pinch me moment). It amazes me when we get such incredible feedback from you.
And to now... our 4th birthday means so much to me and it’s been so lovely to recap our journey up until now. I can’t thank you enough for your support and the best is still yet to come!
